Friday, April 3rdBorn to Be WildFrom fuzzy cubs to wobbly calves, campers will go wild for the cutest critters around - animal babies! Learn about how little ones grow up in the wild.
Monday, April 20thBack from the BrinkDon't let these animals become just a 'roar'-mantic story of the past! Come explore the wild world of endangered creatures and how to take a 'paws-itively' impactful action to save species.

3-5 = All about 'ologies
Calling all paw-some heroes!  Campers will join the ultimate animal rescue team, solving critter challenges, completing missions, and learning how real animals stay safe in the wild.
Herpetology, Ornithology, and more, campers will dive into the study of all things animals. Every day is an 'awe-some-ology' day!

June 1-5

Who Done It?
Campers will become wildlife detectives, solving animal mysteries, uncovering clues, and tracking down sneaky critters.  With games, crafts, and hands-on adventures, it's a camp that's wild, whodunit fun!
June 8-12Zoo Bio BlitzCampers will hunt, spot, and tally animals across the zoo, learning amazing facts along the way.  Bio Blitz is sure to be a 'spec-tacular' adventure!

Zoosical
Oh, the animals you'll see!  Campers will hop, hop, hop through silly games, wacky crafts, and wild critter adventures inspired by Dr. Seuss.  It's a 'zoo-tastically fun camp full of rhymes.

Animal Grossology
Get ready to get wild....and a little gross! Campers will explore slimy, stinky, and squishy animal facts, from gooey frog eggs to stinky skunk spray.  It will be
 'gross-tastic'!
June 29-July 3Dino Discovery
Roar into prehistoric adventure! Campers will stomp, dig, and discover the wild world of dinosaurs. It will be 'dino-mite'!
July 6-10Celebration SafariTravel the world without leaving the zoo! Campers will explore how animals are celebrated in cultures everywhere. This will be 'paws-itively global'.
July 13-17Wild About ArtGet ready to unleash your inner 'paw-casso'! Campers will paint, sculpt, and create wild masterpieces inspired by animals big and small.
July 20-24PlaneteersCalling all junior Planeteers! Campers will team up to protect animals and their habitats, learning how to go green in a wild way.
July 27-31Web of LifeGet tangled in the wild side! Campers will explore how animals, plants, and habitats are all connected in nature's 'web of life'.

Aug 3-7

Jungle Journey
Swing, stomp, and slither through the wild jungle! Campers will explore exotic animals, play adventure-filled games, and create critter-inspired crafts. It's a 
'roar-some' journey where every day is an untamed adventure.


Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans change. You may cancel your enrollment at any time, but refunds will be permitted as follows:

  • A refund is given if the child drops from Camp and notification is given at least one week (7 days) prior to start date.
  • A partial refund is given if Sunset Zoo is notified between one week and 48 hours of start date.
  • No refund is given if notice is given within 48 hours of start date.

Allow one to two months for refunds to process.

Confidential Policy

All campers' records, forms, and information, will be confidential and are available to guardians upon request. This information is used only by the appropriate Sunset Zoo / Manhattan Parks and Recreation Staff in compliance with KDHE licensing to provide your camper with the highest quality of care. At no time will non-guardians be given identifying information about another camper or their guardian.
